The Original Interest:
I first got into kdramas back in my first uni years (~2006), where episodes had to be downloaded from
limewire or surrupticious livejournal group links.
Rediscovery
Kdramas made me want to take Korean in university, but my school didn't have it, so I ended up taking
Mandarin instead. That plus boys in my life who didn't appreciate my interests meant that I stopped
watching them (and listening to Kpop). It wasn't until Covid lockdown that I ended up seeing a kdrama
on netflix again and, feeling nostalgic, clicked it. I very quickly binged these and then my love of
all thinks Korean was definitely firmly re-established.
