on lj. Forgive the cringe, I was baby.
I woke up late (and VERY groggy) so I rushed to eat a bagel, feed the baby, jump in the shower, grab the baby and then head out so I wasn't late to the doctors.

I-70 bores me to tears
30 minutes later, we're there! Only a few minutes late. We recently moved the city over to save up money for our move to Dalian, China this August, so all our doctors and such are far away.
He LOVES banging on things and trying to eat books, so this was fun for him.
My mom lives a minute away from here and she shows up for moral support as Killian is getting his 6 month shots.
All done! He only cried for one of his shots! Time to go to grandma's.

Where I live now has well water. This is what it does to my hair. It also makes it sticky. D:
So, I take a shower while I'm at my moms and wash it a few times with normal water.
So mom takes Killi on a walk while I shower.
Time check. My friend is probably wondering where I am..

Hello Brooke & Greg!
Brooke is my sorority sister.. we both are old folk at heart though and left early and got married/&had a baby. She's one of the few friends who didn't act like I fell off the face of the earth when i got a family <3
Public Service Announcement: If your friends have babies, invite
said friend places & get them out of the house! They would
usually love the opportunity to find a sitter, or if really not
possible, babies are not carriers of the plague. I promise.
These friends are sitting at home angsting because all their friends
turned out to not be friends, so be someone's hero and just hang
out. :p
When he chewed on the apple it made a squeaky noise because of his teethless gums. It was cute/funny.
I nursed him down for a nap & Brooke made us some mac & cheese
Not only was K asleep, but Greg fell asleep too and he woke up with a start and talked to loud & it woke Killian up too. Killian does not like being woken up from naps. It was time to go anyway!

6-75 is a much better driver! Pretty and green.
Back home, my In Laws are MIA (and husband is at work) so I guess I won't be going to the gym.
Not the first time I did this today, i promise.
Butt transplant! and aww, shot wounds!
We LOVE cloth diapering, it saves us thousands of dollars and no landfill waste (7k disposable diapers per kid means it's the 3rd highest contributer to landfills :( ) and these are SmartiPants pockets, our favorites. We have 14 (and a few diapers of different kinds/brands) and they are one-size and will last us through this & all our future kids.. and are way cute/don't leak! :D)
That plus breastfeeding (^) means that we almost never spend any money on this kid (yet). It's nice!
While he eats, I check my internets.
I put him down with all his toys and naturally he goes right for the cord (he already likes chewing on them, GAH!!) and dog toys. >_<
He has learned to crawl this past week, and poking my toes means he wants up.
I realize I hate the outfit I had on (left over from pregnancy, where it looks a bit better) and I changed and we photoboothed for a while. Killian likes to punch the button to do it himself.
Husband gets home from work. He is working at the daycare he went to as a kid until China, where he'll be a Kindergarden English teacher.
He felt scrubby compared to my outfit, so he changed.
The in laws are home too and we leave K with his grandpa.. who, btw is a very happy person, I just caught him offgaurd with this picture. Grandpa is very obviously Killian's favorite person in the whole world, unless he's hungry. :p
Time to go get some foods! We had a gift card.

Noms. We got sat next to another 6 month old. There is no escaping the babies!
Summer really snuck up on me. I love green, but I hate the humidity. Ugh. :(
We passed the resevoir and decided to go take some pictures!
But then his beef stuff spilled all over me. I am a vegetarian. :'(
But some nice lady saw us struggling with the camera and offered to take our picture. I'm still up 70lbs from pre-pregnancy weight so her choice to do a full body shot makes me cry on the inside.
We passed a family of racoons, hanging out on the roadside, waiting for the cars to feed them (I would have gotten a better pic but i didn't want them to accidentally crawl under the car without us seeing so we only stopped for a second) and deers were just hanging out next to the street. <3 it. Deers are my favorite (well, and tigers, but we don't have those here :p)
Feeding the baby again
Spend forever trying to edit the pictures while my husband gets engrossed in comic book wikis in the other room. My monitor suddenly doesn't show my colors correctly and I don't know why but it is so depressing.
Long enough where the baby wakes up and I feed him while I edit.
I know I shouldn't have it so late, but ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love my Ovaltine.
Time for a little TOS action. <3 (TNG is still my favorite, though)
I try to read a little but so far I'm just finding repeats from the other book i just finished "How to Save the World At Work" which, regardless of silly title, is an awesome socially responsible business book.
Time to do a little Chinese study. ActiveChinese is AWESOME, little flash movies for each chapter and then it goes through like this to help you sound out the tones and see definitions for each word, then the tests are drag and drop type things, it's way better than the class i took in college (for 2 years!)
