What is the "Old Web"?

It's the internet of the before times.

Before what? Before the internet became almost nothing but:

• corporate-owned social media sites
• corporate-owned e-commerce sites
• corporate-owned news sites
• maybe a few others
• and Wikipedia (a good, old site that's currently drowning in AI slop 😭)

The vast, vast majority of old websites, though, were nothing like that.
